PROVO — The Provo Police Department announced the availability of a $5,000 reward Monday for information that leads to the location of a missing Provo woman.
Elizabeth Elena Lagunda Salgado, 26, has been missing for more than two weeks, according to investigators. They said she was last seen leaving the Nomen Global School, located at 384 W. Center St. in Provo, on April 16.
While there is no positive evidence of an abduction, Provo police said her disappearance is suspicious. Hundreds of volunteers have helped in the search for Salgado, and her parents arrived in Utah from Mexico Wednesday.
Investigators described Salgado as being 5-feet-4 or 5-feet-5-inches tall. They said she was last seen wearing a denim jacket, blue jeans and black or brown knee-high boots, plus a denim handbag with red straps.
Provo police chief John King has said no background checks will be performed on people who provide tips to investigators about Salgado’s disappearance. Anyone with information about the case can contact the Provo Police Department by calling 801-852-6210.
