PRICE — A 15-year-old girl died and three other teens were hurt Saturday in a crash on Pinnacle Canyon Road, according to the Carbon County Sheriff's Office.

Kaitlyn Hansen, of Price, and two other teens were passengers in a pickup truck driven by a 16-year-old boy, the sheriff's office said in a statement released Monday. The truck went off the gravel road about 10:15 p.m. and rolled down an embankment, coming to rest on its roof at the bottom of a 25-foot ravine, investigators said.

Hansen died at the scene. She was not wearing a seat belt when the truck rolled, deputies said. The three surviving teens were taken to Castleview Hospital in Price with "multiple injuries," the sheriff's office said.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation, but authorities don't believe the teenage driver was impaired, Carbon County Sheriff Jeff Wood said. Only one person in the truck was using a seat belt at the time of the crash, he said.
