OGDEN — Weber State spring football came to an end with the annual Purple and White game Saturday afternoon at Stewart Stadium. The White team came out on top 14-7 in the game that marks the end of spring camp.

The White team got the offense going in the first half with Eric Wilkes scoring on a 12-yard touchdown run. The White team scored again in the second quarter with Riley Bradshaw finding Jordan Ozosky for a 17-yard touchdown to make it 14-0 at halftime.

The Purple team's only score came in the fourth quarter when Spencer Unga rushed for a two-yard touchdown.

Wilkes had five carries for 37 yards and one touchdown on the day for the White team. Chad Leckington was 5-of-8 passing for 53 yards and Justin Shaw threw for 11 yards.

The Purple team offense was led by Jadrian Clark who threw for 34 yards and rushed for 99 yards, including a 44-yard rush. Kelly Hilkinski threw for 23 yards for the quarterbacks and Cody McKague led the receivers with four catches for 25 yards. Unga rushed for 50 yards and a touchdown on eight carries.

On defense, freshman Karsen Lilenquist led all players with 11 tackles for the White team. Felix Woods and Likio Pope each had seven tackles and Mitch Tulane had six, including 1.5 tackles for loss.

"We held out a few of our starters today but overall we made an improvement over last year's spring game," said WSU head coach Jay Hill. "The defense looked great today and really made some hard hits. There were times we were also able to run the ball well. We have to continue to make strides during the summer but I like the personnel we have in place and the progression we have made from last year."

The Wildcats now prepare for the 2015 season, which will begin Friday, Sept. 4 at Oregon State. The home opener is set for Sept. 19 against Sacramento State.
