SALT LAKE CITY — The 2014-15 Jazz season had its share of highlights, and many of them were supplied by the team's young crop of rising stars.
Jazz rookie Bryce Cotton was no exception — and the league took notice.
The rookie Jazz guard has been selected to the 2015 All-NBA D-League Second Team and 2015 All-Rookie First Team, the D-League announced Wednesday.
Cotton appeared in 34 games for the Austin Spurs, where he averaged 22.4 points, 4.7 rebounds and 4.6 assists in a breakout performance that led to a contract offer from the Jazz. He signed two 10-day contracts with Utah before inking a multi-year deal on March 16, appearing in 15 games for the Jazz. Cotton averaged 5.3 points, 1.2 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 10 minutes per game for the Jazz, including one thunderous dunk in the team's home finale that will live well into the offseason.
The 6-foot-1, 165-pound graduate of Providence was a two-time all-Big East first team selection in college, including the 2014 Big East Tournament most outstanding player. He is Providence's No. 4 all-time scorer.
