OREM — Northbound lanes on State Street reopened Tuesday afternoon after two vehicles crashed at 500 N. State Street shortly after 3 p.m., officials said.

A 2-year-old girl was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries after the vehicle she was in rolled onto its side, trapping her inside, according to Lt. Craig Martinez with the Orem Police Department.

A group of witnesses and bystanders rolled the car back onto its wheels to get the victim out of the vehicle, Martinez said.

"She's going to hopefully be able to recover, according to our paramedics," Martinez said.

Martinez does not yet know which vehicle caused the collision or why it occurred, he said.

Northbound State Street was closed at 400 North for about 25 minutes, according to the Utah Department of Transportation.
