BOUNTIFUL — The Viewmont sophomore baseball team did something in a game Saturday against Syracuse that doesn’t happen often: a 3-2-6-2 triple play.

First baseman Nate Embrey fielded a ball and threw it to catcher Weston Taylor at home plate who applied the tag to the runner for the first out.

Taylor then spotted the Syracuse runner at first make a dash for second, and he gunned him down with a throw to shortstop Josh Erickson who was covering second base.

Erickson then fired the ball back to Taylor who tagged out a runner trying to score from third to complete the triple play.
