WEST VALLEY CITY — A man charged with multiple counts of attempted murder in connection with two drive-by shootings is back in the Salt Lake County Jail.

Stacey Renod Wesley, 26, of Las Vegas, was scheduled to go to trial in October for a number of felony charges, including three counts of attempted murder, when he disappeared. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

Wesley is accused of firing multiple rounds on Nov. 23 and Nov. 25, 2012, at two different West Valley residences as he searched for a man named "Tank," court documents indicate.

Unified Police Lt. Justin Hoyal said Wesley was recently arrested in Las Vegas in an unrelated case. When the warrants in Salt Lake County were discovered, he was extradited to the Salt Lake County Jail on Monday.

Wesley's warrants included a total of four counts of attempted murder, 41 counts of discharge of a firearm, and one count of aggravated assault.
