LOGAN — Sophomore Jalen Moore was named to the All-Mountain West Conference Second Team, and he was one of three Utah State players to be honored on the conference's list of postseason awards, the league announced Tuesday.

Redshirt freshman David Collette was named to the all-conference third team, and junior Chris Smith took home league honorable-mention honors.

Mountain West regular-season champion Boise State led the way among the individual awards. Broncos guard Derrick Marks was named player of the year and Leon Rice was named coach of the year, while James Webb III was named newcomer of the year honors.

UNLV's Rashad Vaughn was named freshman of the year, and Colorado State's John Gillon took home sixth man of the year. San Diego State's Skylar Spencer and Wyoming's Larry Nance Jr. shared the conference's defensive player of the year award.

Moore led Utah State in scoring and rebounding, averaging 15 points and 6.4 rebounds per game during Mountain West action. The rising star from North Logan ranked among the top 10 in the league in both categories, and he also finished third in the Mountain West in field-goal percentage (49.5).

For Collette, a redshirt freshman from Murray, jumped into the rotation as an immediate starter and subsequently led the team in field-goal percentage (58.9). He finished fifth in the league during Mountain West play with 2.0 blocks per game.

Smith, a junior from Sacramento, California, led the Mountain West in 3-point shooting, knocking down deep balls at a clip of 51.3 percent during league play. He finished ninth in the league in scoring with 13.8 points per game.

The three honors are the most for Utah State since 2011 when Tai Wesley and Brockeith Pane were All-WAC First-Team selections and Brian Green was named to the second team
