Weber State eyes tourney, tops Idaho 74-63

OGDEN, Utah (AP) - Joel Bolomboy scored 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds and Weber State kept its bid for a spot in the Big Sky Conference tournament alive with a 74-63 win over Idaho Thursday night.

Weber State (13-15, 8-9) is battling for one of three remaining tournament berths and pulled into a three-way tie for sixth place with Idaho and Portland State.

The Wildcats led by eight at intermission and quickly pushed it to a dozen in the first minute of the second half.

Idaho (13-15, 8-9) shot 50 percent from the field (22 of 44), including 3 of 12 from beyond the arc, but the Wildcats matched the Vandals field goal total on 22-of-51 shooting, including 6 of 21 from distance. A major difference in the game was at the free throw line, where Idaho was 16 of 24 and Weber State was 24 of 30.

Mike Scott's 16 points paced Idaho.
