We kick off the new year with this huge, 39 inch, 17 pound Northern Pike Stephen caught at Yuba on December 20th. Notice he's wearing his hula shirt in the twenty two degree temperature. This he says, is his new, lucky fishing shirt.

Check out these four Idaho bucks all shot in three minutes of each other. Wyatt, the youngest at ten, killed the biggest buck with one shot. Wyatt handed the gun to his ten year old brother Kai, who dropped the second. Their 14 year old sister McCall was up next and she too bagged her buck with one shot. Dad finished off the fourth and young Jed got to pose with dad's buck. It was a day the kids and their dad will never forget.

Cami and her husband Landon made their annual trip to Bear Lake to fish for Whitefish. Cami's first whitey was just over the current state record for length. The next week, they were back, but couldn't find any willing whitefish. Cami however, made the most of it and caught her personal best Cutthroat at 27 inches and 8 pounds. On the hook set the rod broke in half but Cami still managed to land the fish. The fish was released to hopefully be caught again.

Robert sent us these pictures of his grandson Dylan Richard Bingham. Dylan passed away last year. Robert says, his grandson was an avid sportman from baseball to lacrosse at Copper Hills High School to Bow hunting bears with his dad and climbing the highest peaks for that perfect buck. This is a tribute to a fallen son, grandson, friend and hunter.

But our winner tonight caught a couple of roosters in the waning light. Every year Shane and a few buddies head to the midwest in search of some upland game hunting. Last fall, found them and their dogs in South Dakota where they found some success on public land. That's where Shane took this shot of two roosters in flight as the sun set. That's a pretty shot Shane, and the next time you and the boys head afield, you'll have our great prize to take with you as you just won...our snapshot of the week.
