Hi there everybody and welcome to KSL Golf presented by Siegfried & Jensen.

This week's show includes:

  • KSL Celebrity Cup Challenge: Former Jazz guard and current broadcaster Ron Boone held a one stroke lead over Weber State head basketball coach Randy Rahe as they played the final hole of the three hole KSL Cup Celebrity Match. The final hole was played at Ogden Country Club, number one. Par 5. Boone tapped in for a Par and Rahe scored a bogey. Ron Boone wins the match by two strokes.
  • Putt for Cash: Time once again to try to give away some money in the Siegfried & Jensen Putt for cash. Each week, one person will have a choice of a 10 footer for 1000 dollars, 20 footer for 2000 or a 30 footer for 3000 bucks. And they will get 2 putts at it. This week's putter, Marilyn Pride of River Heights has a 20 foot putt for $2000.
  • Uinta Golf Tip of the Week: Darrell Mangum of Centerville submitted this weeks question on how to release the driver at impact. Thanksgiving Point Director of Golf Mark Whetzel joins us with some help.
  • Golfboard: There will be a new way to get around Glen Eagle golf course in Syracuse. Riding a Golfboard. It is a cross between a scooter and surf board. It is motorized and has four wheels and travels up to 12 miles per hour. You can carry your clubs on the Golfboard just as you would a golf cart. Glean Eagle is planning on renting the Golfboard later in August and it will cost around $10 for 9 holes.
  • Womens Utah State Amateur: The womens Utah State Amateur begins Wednesday and runs through Saturday at Ogden Country Club. Kelsey Chugg is the two time defending champion.
