RENO- The Bees came up short in the opening game of their eight game road trip, as Salt Lake fell 6-1 to the Aces in Reno on Thursday night. Taylor Lindsey got the game started on a positive note, as he drilled the fourth pitch of the game over the 424 foot mark in right center to give the Bees a 1-0 lead. After Reno tied the game with a run in the second inning, the Aces took control with four runs in the third on an RBI double by Alfredo Marte and back-to-back home runs by Nick Evans and Mike Jacobs.


Bees' starter Justin Thomas (1-2) took the loss, as he went five innings and allowed all six runs on eleven hits with two strikeouts, two walks and three home runs.

Michael Brady and Buddy Boshers combined to throw three scoreless innings of relief. Tommy Field and John Hester each had a pair of hits, as Salt Lake has now dropped eight of their nine road games this season.
