SALT LAKE CITY — Matt Conway scored 35 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to lead Pleasant Grove into the 5A quarterfinals with an 82-69 win over Layton.

Conway was three points short of his career-high 38 points scored against Riverton on Jan. 17.

It was the fourth time this season Conway scored 30 or more points in a game. He had 18 points and 7 rebounds in the first half.

Conway had plenty of help from his teammates as the Vikings shot 61 percent from the field. Mark Sheffield had 18 points and Riley Court added 12 for Pleasant Grove, which will advance to play Alta in the 5A quarterfinals.

Brandon Hill had 23 points and Jarriesse Blackmon had 18 for the Lancers in the loss.
