BOULDER, Colo. — @JFurKSL: Last #Utes game of the season about to kickoff. What are you hoping for today?

A win is all that #utenation was hoping for. Just a win to end the season right. And hopes were high as Utah entered the game being the 24 point favorite.

@rgrantjohnson: It's so nice the #Pac12 killed the #Utes-#BYU rivalry so that on Thanksgiving wknd we get treated to BYU-NMSU and Utah killing Colorado.

After a quick interception by Colorado, Utah capitalizes with a quick touchdown pass by quarterback Travis Wilson.

@the_robio: I love to say @DrizzyDrezz_6 #6for6 as the #utes score in the first minute #utes

But an early mistake by Utah special teams cause the game to be close early on.

@utahathletics: Utes rough punter, leading to CU TD. Score tied 7-7 at 8:55 in the 1st quarter. #utes #utesvscu@ute_conklusion: Glad to see we are continuing to shoot ourselves in the foot. #utes

Utes fans were no in a good mood the rest of the game. Many were expecting a blowout but unfortunately got a much closer game than they wanted. Frustrated tweet after frustrated tweet came flowing through Twitter.

@mattellis_utah: Excellent play calling there. First and goal at the 1, and the #utes go backwards. #quality #utesvscu

@devtron3030: Love throwing the ball 2 yards short of a first down on third. #utes

Even at the 2-yard line, Utah couldn't punch in the touchdown and had to settle for a field goal to put them up, 10-7. Soon after, Eric Rowe intercepts the ball which led to another Utah touchdown. But even with the lead, fans were still frustrated.

@utahathletics: Eric Rowe gets his 1st interception this year and Kelvin York scores on 4-yard run. Utes lead CU 17-7, 3:43 left in 1st half. #utes

@brianyardley: Pretty sure #Utes defense has more receptions that the wide receivers.

And the tweets kept coming.

@usujason: Brilliant play calling by the #Utes. 3rd and 1. Seems like the perfect time for a sweep play.

Utah allowed a touchdown at the end of the half and entered the third quarter with a 17-14 lead. In that quarter, Utah struggled early, both on defense and on offense.

@johncoonsports: #Utah is falling apart on this drive. #Utes look terrible on both sides of the ball in the 2nd half.

But with senior John White IV averaging 8.4 yards a carry, Utah tried to stick with the running routes. Yet frustration kept boiling over.

@johncoonsports: Amazing how much yardage #Utah can gain when the #Utes give the ball to John White. Maybe Brian Johnson should keep calling his number.

Utah was able to tie that game at 28 though after an impressive two-point conversion and later, quarterback Wilson did his thing on the ground after yet another Utah interception.

@utahathletics: Travis Wilson keeps it for 9-yard TD run after Moe Lee interception. Utes take 35-28 lead w/8:41 left in game. #utes #utesvscu

Before one could say "Black Friday" though, Colorado answered with a 100-yard kickoff return for a touchdown and tied the game at 35. Utah fans were stunned and Colorado fans were ecstatic for the Buffaloes. Then, Colorado made the mistake of kicking the ball to Reggie Dunn.

@ellebelle1724: Hey @ErinnMae Reggie Dunn it again! (Maybe I will get in the paper for this tweet!) #reggiedunn #utes

For the fourth time this season, Dunn had a 100-yard kickoff touchdown return and put Utah up 42-35. Utah never looked back and intercepted one more pass to seal the deal and end their season 5-7. This was not the record Utah fans wanted, but it was the one they got.

@RobJackTBS: We don't always win on the road but when when we do its a nail-biter against Colorado. Ugh, good job #Utes

Stay thirsty, my friends.
