Forte's career night propels Portland St. past Multnomah

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Cameron Forte scored a career-high 31 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to help Portland State beat NAIA Multnomah 100-82 Saturday night.

De'Sean Parsons scored 14 while Bryce White and Calaen Robinson added 13 apiece for Portland State (3-2). Robinson added a career-high 11 assists.

Forte scored the last five points in a 10-0 run that put Portland State up 19-9 with 14:59 left in the first half. White hit three baskets in a row to spark another 10-0 spurt that pushed the Vikings' lead to 31-15 with 11 minutes to go. Multnomah trailed by double figures the rest of the way and by as many as 34 in the second half.

Portland State made 41 of 77 (53 percent) field goals, outrebounded Multnomah 46-35 and outscored the Lions 62-26 in points in the paint.

Ben Grandle scored 24, all on 3-pointers, and Thomas Simien added 19 points for Multnomah.
