You've got the concealer, foundation and blush down. Now it's time to check those eyes. Less is more when it comes to makeup and women over 40.

Some women really struggle with eye shadows. They wonder where to put it in the crease or how far over, and what about frost colors?

Kathy suggests a nice light color to start with, a very neutral tone is always a good base. "What I suggest is doing an eye shadow wash under the brow bone. Make sure no darkness in the corner and get the lid primed for the next color."

Lining comes next. Kathy suggests using shadow for softer more controllable lines with the lines coming up slightly in the corners for lift.

Now it's on to the shadow. "What we want to do is get the eyes to pop, so what I am going to suggest is a nice warm brown...I'm using a small shadow brush ride the shadow along the top of the eye," Kathy says. "And I want you to see how that eye will pop "

The keys lie in application: where you put it and how you put it. Never draw down, always up. Kathy says, "Think about pushing the brush in and riding the contour of the eye."
