CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — Sheriff's officials have identified a body found two weeks ago in the waters of a Carson City fishing pond.

Sheriff Ken Furlong says the body found Sept. 23 at Bailey's Pond belonged to of 46-year-old Carson City resident Carl Braziel. Furlong said the cause of death hasn't yet been determined, but foul play doesn't appear to be involved.

A fisherman reported seeing Braziel face down in the water in the pond, which is located in the city-maintained Fuji Park.

Furlong said Braziel was somewhat transient and may have been staying near the pond for days. Another law enforcement agency found some of Braziel's belongings in the area before his body was found.

Authorities aren't sure how Braziel ended up in the water and are waiting for toxicology test results.
