NEW YORK (AP) — There are potato chips -- so, why not chips made from broccoli, chickpeas and kale?

It's among the products that were on display this week at the 61st annual Fancy Food Show in New York.

Buyers for supermarkets and other retailers milled about the trade show, tasting the treats and stuffing bags with free samples. The expo, which featured more than 100,000 products, isn't open to the public.

A dairy from upstate New York was offering tastes of its "wine ice cream" -- which has up to five percent alcohol. It comes in flavors including "Strawberry Sparkling" and "Chocolate Cabernet."

A Massachusetts company sells bottles of maple water that it says is tapped from maple trees. It's a clear liquid with the consistency of water and a lightly sweetened taste. And the company says "no trees are harmed" in the collection process.

And for those who think the half-popped kernels at the bottom of the popcorn bag are the best part -- two companies are selling bags that only have those bits. According to the vice president of marketing for HalfPops, bags are available online and at about 2,000 locations.
