RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — Mike Amendola is out as the Carolina Hurricanes' chief financial officer.
Team spokesman Kyle Hanlin said Thursday night that Amendola is no longer with the company.
Amendola was the team's longest-tenured front-office employee, joining the organization in 1981 when the franchise was in Hartford, Connecticut.
He was in charge of financial, sales, human resources and information technology for the Hurricanes and PNC Arena, and oversaw financial operations of the other branches of Gale Force Holdings. Those include the minor-league Florida Everblades, the Plymouth Whalers junior team and their respective arenas.
