NEW ORLEANS (AP) — The New Orleans Pelicans have signed rookie guard Bryce Dejean-Jones.
The 6-foot-6, 209-pound Dejean-Jones played for the Pelicans' Las Vegas summer league team, averaged 12.8 points on 62 percent shooting in six games. He also averaged 1.5 steals in that span.
Dejean-Jones, whose signing was announced by the Pelicans on Thursday, played in college at Iowa State. During his senior season, he averaged 10.5 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.1 steals as the Cyclones won the 2015 Big 12 Tournament.
Dejean-Jones was not taken in this summer's NBA draft and signed with New Orleans as a free agent.
