ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — The Orlando Magic have lost one player and will soon pick up another.

General manager Rob Hennigan said Monday the team waived guard Ben Gordon and learned draft pick Mario Hezonja had completed a buyout with European club FC Barcelona.

The 20-year-old Hezonja was the fifth overall pick in last week's draft. He is expected to soon arrive in Orlando. Hennigan said last week he expects Hezonja to play in one or two games during the Orlando Summer League, which begins July 4.

Orlando held a team option on Gordon next season, but declined it. Gordon appeared in 56 games last season with the Magic, averaging 6.2 points and 1.1 rebounds. Orlando was the fourth stop in the 32-year-old's 11-year career.
