OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) — Former Stanford guard Chasson Randle has agreed to join the Golden State Warriors for the NBA's Las Vegas summer league.
Randle was a two-time All-Pac-12 first-team selection in four years at Stanford. He scored a school-record 2,375 points, helping the Cardinal win two NIT championships and reach the NCAA Tournament's Sweet 16 in 2014.
Randle was not taken in Thursday night's draft, and his chance of making the roster for the newly crowned NBA champions is slim. But he could be a candidate to join the franchise's NBA Development League affiliate in Santa Cruz next season.
The Las Vegas summer league runs from July 10 to July 20.
