DOVER, Del. (AP) — NASCAR driver Kurt Busch will not face criminal charges over claims by his ex-girlfriend that he smashed her head into a bedroom wall and choked her, Delaware prosecutors said Thursday.
The decision by the state attorney general's office ends the criminal investigation of Busch, known in NASCAR circles as "The Outlaw," over allegations by Patricia Driscoll, whom Busch's attorneys portrayed as a scorned woman who tried to destroy Busch's career after he ended their relationship.
State prosecutors said there was not enough evidence to bring criminal charges.

FALL RIVER, Mass. (AP) — Tracking data shown to the jury in the murder trial of former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez indicates the victim's cellphone pinged along the same route that prosecutors say Hernandez took that night.
The data roughly tracks the route prosecutors say Hernandez took from Odin Lloyd's home to the industrial park in North Attleborough where Lloyd was found shot to death June 17, 2013. A T-Mobile employee testified about cell sites that pinged Lloyd's phone starting at 2:32 a.m., when prosecutors have said Hernandez picked Lloyd up at his home in Boston.
Among the cell sites that pinged Lloyd's phone was one near the interchange of the Massachusetts Turnpike and Route 128 at 2:53 a.m., the same time a photo was taken showing a Nissan Altima that Hernandez rented driving through a toll plaza near there.
The phone went south from there. It pinged a tower at 3:17 a.m. just north of North Attleborough. The next time it pinged a cell site was at 4:17 a.m. in the North Attleborough industrial park. Prosecutors have said he died shortly before 3:30 a.m.
ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) — Peyton Manning has passed his physical and signed his revised contract.
The five-time MVP agreed to a $4 million pay cut to $15 million, but he can earn all of it back through incentives, according to a person with knowledge of the deal who spoke on condition of anonymity because the details weren't publicized.
He'd get $2 million each for winning the AFC title and the Super Bowl.
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) — Defensive tackle Vince Wilfork said he will not be back with New England next season, ending an 11-year stay in which he won two Super Bowls and established himself as the cornerstone of the Patriots' defense.
In a statement on Twitter, Wilfork said the team told him it would not be picking up his option for 2015, making him eligible for free agency.
A 6-foot-2, 325-pound gap-stuffer who was drafted in the first round out of Miami in 2004, Wilfork helped the Patriots win the Super Bowl as a rookie and returned to the NFL title game twice more in losing efforts before helping the franchise win its fourth championship last month.
But he was due to receive a $4 million roster bonus and would have gotten $14 million over the next two seasons if it had been picked up.

DORAL, Fla. (AP) — J.B. Holmes shot a 10-under 62 that tied the tournament record at the Cadillac Championship and gave him a four-shot lead over the rest of a world-class field that was to wonder just how he managed.
He made it sound as easy as it looked. Except that Trump National Doral wasn't all that easy for everyone else.
Rory McIlroy again felt tentative with his swing and shot 40 on his opening nine holes before finishing without a par on his last six holes — an eagle, three birdies and two bogeys that allowed him to salvage a 73. The world's No. 1 player has shot 73-74-73 in his three rounds in Florida this year.
SINGAPORE (AP) — Carlota Ciganda shot a 6-under 66 to move into a tie for the lead with Inbee Park after the second round of the HSBC Women's Champions.
Ciganda offset a pair of bogeys with eight birdies at Sentosa Golf Club to finish even with Park (69) at 9-under 135.
Azahara Munoz was in sole possession of third place, two strokes back, after a 67 that featured six birdies against a lone bogey.
RIO GRANDE, Puerto Rico (AP) — PGA Tour rookie Mark Hubbard closed with a birdie in windy conditions for a one-stroke lead in the Puerto Rico Open.
Hubbard opened with a 4-under 68 at Trump International Golf Club-Puerto Rico. He birdied Nos. 4, 5 and 6, dropped a stroke on the par-3 eighth and finished with a birdie on the par-4 ninth.
Hubbard made news last month when he proposed to Meaghan McCurley on the 18th hole at Pebble Beach during the first round in the AT&T Pebble National Pro-Am.
EAST LONDON, South Africa (AP) — Ireland's Kevin Phelan and England's Matt Ford each shot 5-under 67 to share the first-round lead in the Africa Open.
Phelan tied for second last week in the Joburg Open.
England's Richard Bland, David Howell and John Parry were a stroke back along with South Africa's Neil Schietekat and Spain's Eduardo de la Riva.
TENNIS
MONTERREY, Mexico (AP) — Fourth-seeded Timea Bacsinszky of Switzerland advanced to the Monterrey Open quarterfinals, beating Lesia Tsurenko of Ukraine 4-6, 6-4, 6-4.
Bacsinszky won the Mexico Open last week in Acapulco for her second WTA Tour title. She'll face Urszula Radwanska of Poland, a 6-2, 6-4 winner over seventh-seeded Daniela Hantuchova of Slovakia in the hard-court event at Club Sonoma.
Third-seeded Caroline Garcia of France, the Acapulco runner-up, beat Francesca Schiavone of Italy 7-6 (2), 6-0 in the late match to set up a quarterfinal against eighth-seeded Magdalena Rybarikova of Slovakia.
