BUCKINGHAM PALACE, NOT THE FAMOUS ONE, THOUGH — A British gambling company decided to become the front-runners in the craze that will become #royalbabygate (or something like that, everything has to have "gate" nowadays — and a hashtag).

This company decided to pick the name of the soon-to-be-born royal baby in the most humane and British way possible, by having adorable corgi dogs run for a bit. "The Ladbrokes Barkingham Palace Gold Cup" considers itself the world's first-ever corgi race.

Now while we don't condone gambling, this exhibition was set up to give people some way to place their name bets, with the odds being anywhere from 5-1 to 200-1 — come on, Boris! However, organizers let the dogs do the dirty work to find out what the name will be.

The names are equally distributed, with five male and five female. The males are christened James, Henry, Albert — who is my dark horse despite still being a dog — Spencer and the underdog, Boris. The females are Elizabeth, the odds-on favorite, Alexandra, Victoria, Phillipa and Camilla.

All very royal and deserving of the crown, well, the duke-ship or whatever the second-born gets, but only one can win. If the corgi dogs have their way, it will be a girl named Alexandra. Seems good enough.
