Hello teachers and students! Meet KSL Meteorologist Dan Guthrie and become a KSL Junior Weather Specialist. We've put together some great information all about the weather and broadcast meteorology.

The KSL Junior Weathers Specialists program is proud to visit with students across Utah speaking with them about the different types of weather we receive throughout the state. While studying and forecasting the weather involves many complicated variables, the weather can be broken down into very simple parts making it easy to understand. Through the Junior Weather Specialist program, students are able to learn basic things about the weather that can impact their daily lives; from what types of clothes to wear to what kind of activities they may or may not be able to do. They will know what weather brings sunshine and what weather brings storms. They get to see how we as meteorologists forecast and how we deliver the forecast on TV, radio, the internet, and even mobile apps.

If your class is interested in a school visit from KSL Junior Weather Specialists and Dan Guthrie or would like more information about the program, please fill out the submission form.
