Utah men's college basketball transfer tracker: Kennard Davis lands at Missouri

Save Story

SALT LAKE CITY — More than 1,000 men's college basketball players had entered the transfer portal less than 12 hours after window Monday night ahead of the 2026-27 season, and it isn't slowing down.

From the moment the portal opened at 10 p.m. MDT following Monday's national title game until 7 a.m. Tuesday morning, more than 1,000 Division I men's basketball players had entered their names, according to ESPN's Jeff Borzello. Several had announced plans to enter the portal as recently as the end of the regular season a month prior.

Free agency has begun in college basketball, a 15-day window through April 21 where teams will evaluated their rosters, search for additional veterans to supplement their squads, and try to make another run at a championship (conference, national, or otherwise) next year.

Players are not required to leave upon entering the transfer portal; Utah State's Karson Templin announced he was entering the portal before the rising junior who averaged 8.8 points and 4.0 rebounds per game on 51.8% shooting came to an agreement to return to the Aggies.

Here's a look at how transfers are impacting each Division I school in the state of Utah, according to Verbal Commits (unless otherwise noted). This list will be updated over the next 15 days of college basketball's unofficial "free agency" period.
