MAGNA — A woman who died Sunday after a crash at the intersection of state Route 201 and state Route 202 has been identified.

Two cars were involved in the crash that resulted in one woman being taken to the hospital, where she died. She was identified on Monday as Cheri Sue Richey, 75, of West Wendover.

A Toyota Rav4 was stopped at a red light in the westbound lanes of S.R. 201 at about 12:20 p.m. on Sunday, when a Volkswagen Jetta struck the rear of that vehicle "at freeway speeds," said Utah Highway Patrol Lt. Cameron Roden

Two children in the Jetta, ages 8 and 10, were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the Rav4 was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

After the crash Sunday afternoon, all traffic heading west on S.R. 201 was diverted north on S.R. 202, and all traffic heading south on S.R. 202 was diverted west on S.R. 201, Roden said.

The cause of the crash is being investigated.
