CEDAR FORT — One driver was killed after his vehicle crossed over the center line and struck an oncoming semitruck in Cedar Fort on Wednesday, according to the Utah County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies said they received a report of a car "swerving all over the road" at 7:40 a.m. Wednesday, the sheriff's office said in a post on X, though they were "unable to locate the car." The same car crossed over the center line of state Route 73, deputies said, and struck an oncoming semitruck.
The driver of the car was trapped in the vehicle for 50 minutes while responders worked to extricate him. He was then taken by medical helicopter to the Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, where he later died, deputies said.
A third vehicle sustained "minor debris damage," and the driver of the semi was uninjured.
The driver of the car was identified as Daniel Curtis Brock, 62, of Provo.
