PROVO — The first recruiting win of the Kevin Young era at BYU didn't take long.

Brody Kozlowski is staying home.

The four-star forward from Corner Canyon announced his commitment to the Cougars on social media Monday night, becoming the first bonafide high school recruit to commit to the BYU men's basketball program since Young was hired as head coach last week.

Kozlowski, whose mother, Kristen, was a star on the BYU women's basketball team and currently works as an analyst for BYUtv, initially signed with USC.

But when Andy Enfield took the SMU job and the Trojans hired Eric Musselman to replace him, the 6-foot-7 forward requested a release from his National Letter of Intent (and received it).

That opened the door for Young, who swooped in for the No. 113 overall recruit in the Class of 2024 who averaged 20.4 points, 8.6 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.0 blocks per game for the Chargers en route to last year's state championship game.
