SALT LAKE CITY — Comedian Jim Gaffigan is coming back to Salt Lake City.

He's so popular, his first show slated to be at the Eccles Theater on Oct. 25, 2024 sold out the first day tickets were available to the general public, so Gaffigan and his team added another show the night before, which also sold out quickly.

The theater added yet another show on Saturday, Oct. 26, which also sold out and prompted a fifth show for Gaffigan in Salt Lake City for which tickets are on sale now.

Many Utahns love Gaffigan's brand of humor. His hilarious observations of the simplicities of life made the Wall Street Journal dub him the "King of Clean."

"He has brought me to tears of laughter! One of the things I love about him is that his jokes catch me by surprise, and that's different from other comedians who shock an audience by being vulgar or inappropriate," said Elizabeth McMillan, of Lehi. "I think it takes more work and more wit to be as funny as he is without relying on dirty jokes or bad language to get a laugh."

Gaffigan even admits he fits right in in Utah.

"In Utah, I always get told I look Mormon. I don't even know you can look like a religion but apparently I do," he joked in one of his standup routines.

Gaffigan is a seven-time Grammy-nominated comedian, actor, writer, producer, two-time New York Times best-selling author, three-time Emmy-winning top touring performer, and multi-platinum-selling recording artist.

According to Live at the Eccles, limited tickets remain for the Oct. 24 show. Tickets are available online at LiveEccles.com, calling 801-355-2787 or visiting the Eccles Theater Box Office during business hours.
