WHERE FRANCE, ITALY AND SWITZERLAND MEET — An awe-inspiring video is drawing attention to a mountain climber maneuvering a ledge on the highest mountain peak in the European Union.
Mont Blanc means "White Mountain" in French and its summit sits 15,782 feet above sea level.
According to Frenchmoment.eu, it was anciently nicknamed "the doomed mountain" and nobody dared to summit it before the 18th century.

YouTube commenters applauded the climber, calling the video "wonderful" and "an amazing experience."
But another asked a question probably on every viewer's mind: "How do you know that sliver of mountain will hold?"
By comparison, Mount Everest in the Himalayas sits at nearly 29,032 feet above sea level. The highest mountain in North America — Denali, or Mount McKinley, in Alaska — is 20,310 feet tall. Utah's tallest mountain is Kings Peak in Duchesne County at 13,528 feet.
