SALT LAKE CITY — The NBA is returning to Salt Lake City on Dec. 12.

The league released its preseason schedule Friday with the Utah Jazz set to play three games, including two at Vivint Arena.

The Jazz will host the Phoenix Suns in a set of preseason games on Saturday, Dec. 12 and Monday, Dec. 14. Both of those games will be at 7 p.m. Utah's final preseason contest will be on Thursday, Dec. 17 in Los Angeles against the Clippers at 8 p.m. MT.

The NBA's regular season is set to begin Dec. 22 — the first half of the schedule is expected to be released in the coming days.

There will be no fans permitted into Vivint Arena for the two preseason games. Earlier this week, the Jazz announced there would be a 1,500 seat capacity, along with limited suite level capacity, during the shortened 72-game regular season.

The Jazz are continually working on their roster for that regular season. On Friday, the Jazz traded Rayjon Tucker along with a second-round pick to Cleveland for cash considerations. It's the third such cost-cutting move the Jazz have made this offseason. Utah now has 14 players on the roster (the league minimum is 13).
