ROY — Authorities reopened 5600 South near I-15 today after a crash and a hazardous materials situation closed it Saturday.
A semitruck lost its two front tires and blew through an intersection at around 11 a.m. Saturday morning, according to Utah Highway Patrol Trooper Tara Wahlberg.
Roy City's Facebook page says the semi hit some "poles/equipment" under the I-15 bridge and "had a serious fuel leak."
UDOT tweeted just after 11 a.m. Sunday that the road had reopened.
SR-97 Roy. 5600 South is now open in all directions between 1900 West (SR-126) and Freeway Park Drive east of I-15.
