THE MILLENIUM FALCON — The opening of "Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge" — aka "Star Wars" land — at Disneyland and Disney World is one of the most highly anticipated things happening this year.

And to get you excited about it, Disney released this video on Christmas with a behind-the-scenes look at the new attractions.

For "Star Wars" fans, walking into the new area of the theme parks will be quite an experience, according to Carrie Beck, vice president at Lucasfilm Story Group.

"It will be jaw-dropping and incredibly emotional to walk into the land for the first time," Beck says in the video. "To actually be standing there amongst the buildings, amongst the ships, and have this feeling that it is all real, that it's been brought to life, and it is right there in front of you — it's overwhelming."

The video gives a cool, sneak peek at what to expect when you get to have that experience for the first time. It showcases some of the familiar buildings and ships you'll get to explore at the parks, and even has a brief look into what two of the new rides will be like.

As someone who likes "Star Wars" but wasn't that hyped about "Star Wars" land, this video changed my mind. This place looks pretty great, and hopefully I'll get to visit sometime after it opens.

So, if you just can't wait for summer when "Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge" opens at Disneyland (or fall, when it opens at Disney World), watch the video, and then start planning your trip. Maybe I'll see you there and we can fight off Kylo Ren together.
