SOUTH SALT LAKE — One person was shot in South Salt Lake Tuesday morning, police said.

Officers responded to a shooting outside the Eight20 Apartments, 846 West Timbercreek Way, shortly after 11 a.m., South Salt Lake Police Sgt. Matthew S. Oehler said in a statement. A 25-year-old man had been shot in the leg and was transported to a hospital in good condition. The shooting followed a confrontation with a group of people, Oehler said.

No further details were released about the victim or individuals involved. The case is under investigation.
