1. Cache County crash involving 15-year-old driver kills mother of 2

A Providence woman died in a crash Saturday afternoon on state Route 218 near Smithfield. Samantha Perkes, 28, was killed instantly when a Ford Fusion hit her Pontiac Grand Am head-on at about 3:40 p.m., Utah Highway Patrol Lt. Lee Perry said. The Fusion, driven by a 15-year-old boy from Cache County, was headed west on S.R. 218 when it veered into the eastbound lanes near mile marker 6.

2. Colorado family of 4 ID'd as victims of fatal plane crash

A Colorado family of four has been identified as the victims of a fatal small airplane crash. Relatives on Sunday said in a statement that 47-year-old Jeff Makepeace, his 45-year-old wife, Jennifer, and their twin 10-year-old children, Addison and Benjamin, died in the crash late Friday. The family from Fort Collins was flying to Moab, Utah. 3. Sen. Orrin Hatch may not be ready to walk away, NBC analyst says

Republican Sen. Orrin Hatch may not be ready to walk away from the Senate next year, but if he does, former presidential candidate Mitt Romney would have outsize influence on the nation's politics by taking his place. That analysis from NBC political director Chuck Todd, moderator of the network's "Meet the Press," comes amid increasing speculation in Utah that Romney is seriously looking at a Senate run as Hatch's retirement seems more likely.

4. Hundreds join Salt Lake march to preserve DACA

Hundreds of marchers stood on the steps of the Utah Capitol waving signs reading, "Remember the US in USA," "My people are here to stay," "My dreams are not illegal," and other messages of support for immigrants. "Your fight is our fight. We are one," Salt Lake City Mayor Jackie Biskupski, wearing an "I'm a welcomer" T-shirt, told the crowd. She urged them to contact their congressional representatives to take action to protect DACA recipients.

5. New campaign promotes Internet safety for Utah's kids

Last year, the Utah legislature grabbed national attention when it declared pornography a "health crisis." The Utah mom who pushed her state senator to sponsor that bill has launched a new campaign to protect kids online. The Safe Internet for Utah Kids Campaign launched Thursday with a new website.
