WEST MONROE, La. (AP) — The Louisiana Community and Technical College System Board of Supervisors has appointed Dennis Epps as acting chancellor of Louisiana Delta Community College in West Monroe.
Epps' appointment is effective Aug. 1.
He replaces Chancellor Barbara Hanson, who announced her resignation in June to pursue other career opportunities that will let her spend more time with her first and only grandchild.
The News-Star (http://tnsne.ws/29GsU7m ) reports Epps served as vice president for workforce solutions for the LCTCS Board Office since February 2015. Prior to that, he served as deputy director for the Carl Vinson Institute of Government at the University of Georgia.
