SALT LAKE CITY — With the weather warming up and summer fast approaching, it’s the perfect time to plan a road trip.
However, there are so many amazing options for outings in Utah that it can be near impossible to choose where to go. After the success of our controversial “best cities” poll, we decided to channel our reader’s enthusiasm for good and create a new competition — this time to determine Utah’s best attraction.
The debate will likely get heated again, but through the process we hope readers will be inspired to appreciate all that Utah has to offer and even learn about new places they can visit.
Similar to the cities poll, we’re going to start with a bracket that includes 64 attractions in Utah. Included in the mix are parks, ski resorts, museums and more. All of the attractions were recommended by the Utah Office of Tourism as either being among the most visited places in the state or a “must see” stop.
Monday marks the first round of this challenge. The round of 32 will be posted Wednesday, followed by the Sweet 16 on May 16 and Elite 8 on May 18. The Final Four will take place on May 23 and the Championship round on May 25, with the winner being announced May 27 — just in time for last-minute Memorial Day plans.
Voting for each round will end at midnight on the day the story is posted. Get ready to have some fun!
